Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is one of the best-known theories of personal or worker motivation. In his 1943 paper, he suggested if some of our most important needs are unmet, we may be unable to progress and meet our other needs. Physiological or basic human needs (such as food, shelter, water, sleep etc.) being the most crucial, next in the order of importance would be SECURITY and SAFETY needs. Which includes both personal security and financial security, health and well-being.
There are numerous different options when it comes to security services that one could engage and implement for their business or workplace. For instance, from the most popular CCTV Surveillance to the most basic and standard – Manned Guarding (security guards). Some may have preference to using one over another. If you are in a dilemma , unsure how or why SAGAS Manned Guarding Security would be a useful addition to your business security, here are 3 reasons.
Let us worry about security, so you don’t have to. Prior to deployment, we do all the security related due diligences. We tailor make a security protocol catered specifically for your business (including dangers and threats from the environment), do the necessary site orientation/training with our guards before deploying them to the site. Our work don’t end there, we do constant monitoring and feedback and improvise whenever a new potential threat/condition/situation arise.
Burglars or thieves would probably think twice before making an attempt to come steal, if they see patrolling guards in your vicinity. Yes, we know that CCTV cameras would probably do just as well. However a professional security guard could NOT ONLY act as a deterrent, but the guard(s) would be on-site to take the appropriate action in the event that a theft takes place. Also, security guards are trained to respond to emergencies such as fire and water damage. Thus, a combination of the both is what we usually recommend to our clients (not mentioning blind spots from the cameras).
The presence of a professional security guard (officer) on-site to respond to any emergency situation or criminal activity could provide a feeling of reassurance to not only your employees, but also true for your guests and customers. Reiterating Malow’s hierarchy of needs, when a person feels safe and motivated, performances overall increases.
